License agreement

The end-user license agreement you accept when you install Quartz Date.

Please read this agreement before installing Quartz Date ("the Software"). By installing or using the Software you agree to it. If you don't agree, don't install or use the Software.

1. License

Quartz Date grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on computers you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use. Without a license key, the Software runs as a free trial with limits. A license key is for you only; please don't share or publish it.

2. Restrictions

You may not sell, rent, lend or redistribute the Software or license keys, or remove or work around its license checks. The Software includes open-source components that are licensed to you under their own terms, listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt; nothing here limits your rights under those licenses.

3. Your photos and privacy

The Software reads and renames files on your computer. It does not send your photos anywhere unless you turn on AI help. If you do, the photos the Software isn't sure about are sent to the AI service you sign in with (for example through OpenRouter), under that service's own terms and privacy policy, and any charges from that service are yours. Quartz Date does not receive your photos.

4. Back up your files

The Software renames files. It keeps a record so you can undo the last rename, but you should keep a backup of photos you care about before renaming them.

5. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Dates are read automatically and can be wrong; check the results before relying on them.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Quartz Date is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from use of the Software. Quartz Date's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software.

7. Termination

This license ends automatically if you break its terms. When it ends, you must stop using the Software and delete it.

8. General

If any part of this agreement can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
