The app

Quartz Date runs on your computer. It reads your photos and renames them right there, and your photos and file names are not sent to us. The app has no advertising and doesn't collect usage statistics. Your settings stay on your computer.

The app only uses the internet for two things:

• Your license. When you activate a license key, the app sends the key to our store, Payhip, to check it, and checks again about once a week while you're online, so a refunded key stops working. The app keeps the key and the email address it was bought with on your computer, to show who it's licensed to.
• AI help, only if you turn it on. The photos the app isn't sure about are sent to the AI service you sign in with (through OpenRouter), under that service's own terms and privacy policy. If you never turn AI help on, no photos leave your computer.

This website

This website has no accounts and no analytics or advertising trackers of its own, and doesn't set cookies itself. Its fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to load them.

Buying

Checkout is provided by Payhip, and payments are processed by PayPal or your card provider. When you buy, they collect your name, email address and payment details, under Payhip's privacy policy. Payhip's checkout may use cookies. We receive your email address (and your name, if you give it) with your order, to deliver your license key and to help if you write to us.
